March 12, 2025 : The Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament (VBYP) 2025 awareness campaign gained momentum today as the VBYP 2025 Organising Committee, led by Tamenglong College, conducted a successful awareness campaign to encourage youth participation in the upcoming national event.
The campaign, which was officially flagged off by Dr. Kinthuijinang Maremmei, Principal of Tamenglong College, began from the college campus and proceeded to various prominent locations in the district, including the Mini Secretariat, ADC Office, ZEO Office, SDO Office, CMO Office, and bustling market areas.
At the Mini Secretariat, Dr. L. Angshim Dangshawa, District Commissioner of Tamenglong, spoke to the gathered crowd, urging the youth to register on the “mybharat.gov.in” portal and join the national conversation through VBYP. He emphasised the importance of this event in fostering youth leadership and national development.
Similarly, N. Abonpou Christopher, ZEO Tamenglong and a member of the Organising Committee, also appealed to young people to participate in the initiative, highlighting the role of youth in shaping the country’s future.
The awareness campaign, which involved eight teachers and 15 NSS volunteers, was led by Makhou Gangmei, NSS Programme Officer. The team later made a stop at the Open Restaurant near Rani Gaidinliu Women’s Market for a mass outreach program, where local leaders, including Dipu Gangmei, MLA of Nungba AC, Ramning Pame, and Hathing Doungel, ex-MDCs, visited to express their support and encouragement for the campaign’s success.
The final date for online registration on the MyBharat portal is March 16, 2025, and the district-level VBYP event will tentatively take place at Tamenglong College on March 21, 2025.
