A fire broke out at Pangal Leikai, Moreh Ward No. 5, at around 11:10 a.m. today, reportedly caused by an electric short circuit.
The blaze quickly spread, engulfing a residential house belonging to the family of Ethem Khan, Ayub Khan, Tomba, and Jaberuddin.
Firefighters from the Moreh Fire Sub-Station, equipped with three fire tenders and portable pumps, rushed to the scene. They were later joined by the Tamu Fire Service team from across the border to contain the flames. The combined effort successfully prevented the fire from spreading further to nearby houses.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported, though the house was completely destroyed, causing significant property loss.
