The 71st Wildlife Week 2025 inaugurated in Tengnoupal

Across the nation, from 2nd October to 8th October, the “71st Wildlife Week 2025” is being observed solemnly. In Tengnoupal District too, the event was organised on Thursday under the Tengnoupal Forest Division, with Deputy Conservator of Forest Mrs. Mahamuda Begum gracing the occasion.

The 71st Wildlife Week celebration began on Thursday at Tengnoupal District Headquarters with a Foot Rally by school students, with the theme “Human-Wildlife Co-existence.” Speaking at the Wildlife Week inauguration, Deputy Conservator of Forest Mrs. Mahamuda Begum said that protecting wildlife in their habitats, not disturbing their ecosystems, and conserving them is a vital responsibility of people. As wildlife plays a significant role in nature’s balance, human coexistence with wildlife ensures our own survival too.

Officials present at today’s Wildlife Week observation included Tengnoupal Range Forest Officer Md. Salauddin, Moreh Range Forest Officer Stephen Tauthang, along with staff from Tengnoupal and Moreh Ranges.
