Nov 7, 2025, Aizawl: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has found Mizoram Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma in violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) during the ongoing bye-election to the 2-Dampa (ST) Assembly Constituency. According to an official communication from the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Mizoram, dated November 8, 2025, the action followed a complaint filed by Advocate Zothansangi Hmar on October 24, 2025, alleging that the Chief Minister had made a statement breaching the MCC guidelines.
