The Thoubal District Olympic Association has formed the Organizing Committee for the 1st District Olympic Games 2025-26, scheduled from September 24 to 28 across 20 disciplines.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Hannah Kahmei, IAS, with participation from district sports associations, educational institutions, social organizations, and administrative officials.
Committee members include DC Hannah Kahmei as Chairman, DOA Thoubal President M. Mani Singh as Working Chairman, Secretary M. Madhusudon Singh as Organizing Secretary, and Senior SP Shivananda Surve, IPS as Vice Chairman.
The Games will be held under the guidance of the Manipur Olympic Association, supported by government departments, NGOs, and local institutions. Around 2,000 participants are expected. Organizers appealed to the public to support the initiative, which aims to promote sports and discover new talent in the district.
