Thoubal DC Calls on Youth to Join Sardar@150 Unity March

Thoubal Deputy Commissioner Hannah Kahmei has appealed to the youth across the district to actively take part in activities scheduled under the Sardar@150 Unity Campaign. The initiative marks the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and will be observed from October 31 to November 25 across the country.

Addressing the media at the DC office, Kahmei highlighted that the district administration, in collaboration with various departments, has prepared a series of events including exhibitions, cultural programmes, and competitions in schools, colleges, and government institutions. She urged students and youth volunteers to participate in the mini marathon organised by the Police Department on October 31, and the Unity March on November 20, which will begin from the Khongjom War Memorial Complex.

The DC sought cooperation from the Sports Department, ZEO, NCC, NSS, educational institutions, government offices, and local clubs to ensure the smooth execution of the campaign.

State Director of Mera Yuva Bharat, L. Marjit Kumar, was also present at the press conference.
