Thoubal District Police, in coordination with Central Forces, seized 2.357 kg of WY (Methamphetamine) tablets during a house raid at Lilong Hamgamthabi under Lilong Police Station, conducted on suspicion of illegal activities.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of Thoubal SP Shivananda Surve, IPS, and led by Additional SP (Ops) Hijam Devendra, MPS. A combined team of Lilong Police personnel, Thoubal Women Police, commando units, and reinforcement from 164 Battalion BSF and 16 Battalion BSF (Adhoc) conducted the raid.
Two individuals were arrested in connection with the seizure: Makakmayum Musharaf (27), son of Md. Ajit Khan, and his wife Ruhani (25). Authorities also recovered ₹2,04,800 in cash, six mobile phones, three notebooks containing identification documents (Aadhaar, Voter ID, Driving License, PAN, ATM cards), a walkie-talkie set, and some gold ornaments.
An FIR has been registered at Lilong Police Station under the NDPS Act, and both accused are in police custody pending further investigation.
