Security forces apprehended three individuals near New Lamka under Churachandpur Police Station for possessing a massive consignment of suspected heroin. The arrests were made on May 10, 2025.
The arrested persons have been identified as Minlun Valphei (34) of Gouchinkhup Veng, David Nehtinthang (32) of Sehjang village, and Lunkholal (53) of Apollo Veng—all from Churachandpur District.
They were detained while travelling in a four-wheeler, from which security personnel seized 97 soap cases of suspected No. 4 heroin, weighing approximately 1.164 kg and valued at around ₹11.05 crore.
In addition, the four-wheeler and three mobile phones were also confiscated from their possession.
Authorities have initiated further investigation into the case.
