Feb. 21, 2025 : Amid rising tensions in Manipur, hundreds of women took to the streets of Imphal in a torch rally at Mantripukhri, protesting the arrests and attempted arrests of village volunteers.
The demonstrators demanded the immediate formation of a new government, calling for an end to President’s Rule in the state.
Carrying flaming torches and chanting slogans, the women vowed to continue their agitation until their voices are heard.
