April 07, 2026 (TBL): In connection with the Tronglaobi incident, the Thoubal Apunba Lup (TAL) held a joint press conference today at Jupiter Club, located in Thoubal Bamon Leirak. TAL has made a firm decision to enforce a total shutdown in its operational area, including the closure of government offices.
Speaking to the media, TAL Publicity Secretary Sanjembam Amarjit stated that TAL has strongly condemned the incident in which two children were killed and their mother was severely injured. The Kuki terrorists involved in the incident should be promptly arrested by the present government and given appropriate punishment, he added.
He further stated that all government-related activities have been closed with immediate effect until the demands raised by TAL are fulfilled, and added that a total shutdown in all areas controlled by TAL is also being enforced immediately.
He declared that activities related to medical services, fire services, water supply, electricity, and education will be exempted from this total shutdown.
