Imphal, April 2: The valedictory ceremony of the Placement-Linked Skill Development Training Programme for youth in the tourism and hospitality sector was held at Wangkhei, Imphal East, marking the successful completion of the initiative.
MLA of Thanga Assembly Constituency, Tongbram Robindro Singh, attended the programme as Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, he described the occasion as an important milestone for the youth, marking the transition from training to new opportunities.
He commended the participants for their dedication and encouraged them to make the best use of the skills acquired. He stated that the trainees are not merely job seekers but future ambassadors of Manipur, representing its culture, values, and spirit of hospitality. He urged them to remain committed, continue learning, and strive for excellence in their respective fields.
Tongbram Robindro Singh also appreciated the efforts of the organisers, trainers, and supporting agencies for successfully conducting the programme and contributing towards youth empowerment.
The event was presided over by PVSLN Murthy, Chairman and Managing Director of North Eastern Development Finance Corporation (NEDFi). K. Inaocha Devi, Independent Director of GAIL India Ltd, and Kh. Bobby, COO (Skills), Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission, attended as Guests of Honour.
