The Tree Planters Organisation, Manipur, has continued its yearly initiative of tree plantation across the valley areas of the state with the agenda of “making the Earth green.”
As part of the programme, the branch office of the organisation at Mongshangei Mamang Leikai organised a plantation drive in collaboration with Sitaapa Mapu Laining Lup, Chingmeirong, and Yaiphaba Enterprises of Kongba Nandeibam Leikai, Imphal.
Organisers said the campaign not only focused on planting trees but also on instilling environmental consciousness among the public.
In line with its mission, the organisation distributed tree saplings free of cost to encourage wider participation.
