Twin Bins Installed for Waste Segregation in Imphal City But Not for Household Waste Disposal

In a move towards enhancing civic cleanliness, the Imphal Municipal Corporation (IMC) has recently installed twin bins across prominent areas including Kangla, Nityaipat Chuthek, Babupara, and BT Road.

These bins are aimed at facilitating waste segregation among daily commuters, urging residents to contribute towards a cleaner environment.

The initiative emphasizes the segregation of waste into biodegradable/organic (Green Bin) and non-biodegradable/inorganic (Blue Bin) categories.

IMC officials have issued a fervent appeal to city residents, stressing the bins’ intended use solely for public convenience during daily commuting hours.

Notably, the bins are not designated for household waste disposal.

Residents are encouraged to adhere to the segregation guidelines to support IMC’s mission of a cleaner and greener city.
