Manipur Police on April 21 arrested two individuals affiliated with Arambai Tengol Unit-41, Jiribam, in connection with the abduction and assault of one Ajimul Hussain Laskar, a resident of Bakhal, Cachar district, Assam.
The arrested individuals have been identified as RK Khomdonsana (32) of Bhutangkhal, Borobekra, Jiribam (presently residing at Bidyanagar, Jiribam), and Lourembam Thoiba alias Jackson (20) of Uchathol, Jiribam.
Police sources confirmed that the arrests were made following an investigation into the alleged abduction and assault case. The victim, Ajimul Hussain Laskar, was reportedly taken from Cachar and subjected to physical assault, prompting swift action by law enforcement agencies.
Further investigation is underway to determine the motive behind the incident and identify any additional individuals involved.
