Feb. 19, 2025 : Manipur Police arrested two KCP (PWG) members from two different locations on Wednesday—one sympathizer and one cadre. The sympathizer has been identified as Romeo Laishram (50) of Yurembam Awang Leikai, and the arrest was made at his house under Patsoi Police Station, Imphal West District.
The other arrested cadre has been identified as Naorem Premkanta Singh (43) from the Irum Mapal area under Kakching Police Station, Kakching District, who is said to be involved in extortion, according to the police.
From the possession of the sympathizer, the police also seized one (01) 7.65 mm pistol along with one magazine loaded with five (05) rounds of ammunition; one (01) white ammunition box containing ten (10) rounds of 7.65 mm ammunition; one (01) pistol holster; and one (01) Aadhaar card.
