Security forces apprehended two active cadres of the proscribed outfit KYKL during an operation near Wangjing Khabakhong, opposite the HP oil pump along NH-102 under Thoubal Police Station in Thoubal District.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Mutum Ranjan Meitei alias Lamjingba (21) and Ngasepam Barlin Singh alias Kanglei (23). Both were taken into custody for their alleged involvement in unlawful activities.
During the arrest, security personnel recovered one 36 HE hand grenade, one Chinese hand grenade, two smartphones, two keypad mobiles, a blue purse, a sling bag, an Aadhaar card, a PAN card, and one two-wheeler from their possession.
