Imphal, May 6, 2025 – In an ongoing crackdown on extortion networks in Manipur, security forces have intensified intelligence-based combing and cordon and search operations across the state.
During one such operation on May 6, two active members of the proscribed KYKL (SOREPA) group were arrested from the hilltop of Andro Khuman Hill under Andro Police Station in Imphal East District.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Yumkhaibam Nanao Singh alias Parihan (27) of Andro Kharam Leikai, and Chingakham Norenkumar Singh alias Korounganba (28) of Andro Sanapat. Two mobile phones were recovered from their possession.
