Acting on intelligence inputs, subsequent search operations led to the arrest of two persons—one an active cadre of the proscribed outfits KCP (PWG) and the other of KYKL (SOREPA)—from two different locations in the Imphal West district of Manipur on Sunday.
The arrested KCP (PWG) cadre has been identified as Longjam Bishochandra Meitei alias Bungo (37) of Mayang Imphal Heigum Yangbi, Imphal West District. He was arrested from Mayang Imphal Heigum Yangbi under Mayang Imphal Police Station.
Meanwhile, the arrested KYKL (SOREPA) cadre has been identified as Chirom Roshan Meitei alias Thomas (37) of Mayang Imphal Thana Awang Leikai, also under Mayang Imphal Police Station, Imphal West.
The arrested duo was involved in extortion activities in the state. Two mobile phones have also been seized from them.
