Imphal, April 4, 2025: Security forces arrested two underground (UG) cadres belonging to different militant outfits in Imphal East District. The operation was carried out under the jurisdiction of Lamlai Police Station.
One of the arrested individuals has been identified as Yendrembam Athoiba Meitei alias Leingakpa (24), an active member of the proscribed group RPF/PLA. He was apprehended from his residence at Chingarel Tezpur Mayai Leikai. The second individual, Okram Herojit Singh (31), an active cadre of KCP (City Meitei), was arrested from Phaknung Sangomsang Litan Makhong.
Both individuals were allegedly involved in militant-related activities in the region. Further investigation is underway to establish their roles and possible connections with other operatives. Security forces continue their intensified crackdown on unlawful elements to maintain peace and order.
