The Meitei Huyen Langlon Sintam Shanglen (Satjal-Academy) branch of the Universal Friendship Organisation (UFO) celebrated its 23rd Raising Day with great enthusiasm and cultural pride at the UFO Bishnupur Shanglen, Western Headquarters No. 6, Salamkhul Lanka, Hojai, Assam.
As part of the ceremony, President of Unity of Meitei Society, Hojai, Assam, Meitram Mahendra, hoisted the emblematic flag of Lord Pakhangba, following which UFO members paid a respectful salute in unison, symbolising unity and dedication.
The event witnessed participation from a wide spectrum of attendees, including womenfolk from Hojai, UFO’s Thang-Ta Instructor Senjam Biren, and several members of the Meitei community. Notably, the celebration was also joined by UFO members from outside Assam, including a contingent from Manipur, reinforcing the growing inter-state solidarity among Meiteis.
