In a move aimed at strengthening self-sustainability and promoting organic farming, the Chingphu Collective Farm under the Universal Friendship Organisation (UFO) central headquarters at Heipok has formally established its Agriculture Department and distributed seasonal seeds to UFO members across various battalions and branches, beginning with units under Imphal East district.
During the programme, UFO Secretary General Y. Meiraba highlighted the organisation’s mission to achieve self-sustainability in food products, emphasizing the role of organic cultivation in securing a healthier and independent future.
Led by UFO President RK Sana Parihal, the event was attended by representatives from different branches, including Home Secretary L. Loyumba among others.
