April 9, 2026 : The United People’s Front (UPF) and the Kuki National Organisation (KNO) have condemned the bomb explosion at Tronglaobi in Bishnupur district that killed two children and left their mother seriously injured, while also extending condolences to the bereaved family.
In a joint statement issued on April 8, the organisations expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of innocent lives, particularly the two minors who were killed in the April 7 incident.
They further appealed to media outlets to exercise restraint in reporting such sensitive developments, urging them not to attribute responsibility to any specific community without verified information, as it could escalate tensions.
The UPF and KNO conveyed their sincere condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured woman.
The statement was issued by UPF spokesperson Aaron Kipgen and KNO spokespersons Seilen Haokip and Satan Harip.
