Security forces arrested an active cadre of the United Peoples’ Party of Kangleipak (UPPK), Ningthoujam Sanathoi Singh (26), from Yourabung Khunou under Lamlai Police Station, Imphal East District. He was directly involved in extortion activities targeting the general public and local businesses.
The arrest took place on April 18, 2025, and from his possession, several items were seized, including one mobile handset, one Aadhaar card, 109 empty cases of various calibers, a camouflage helmet, a tactical waist belt (black in color), two knee caps/guards, a green pistol holster, a camouflage long pant, two camouflage T-shirts, and a pair of boots.
