Thoubal, August 28, 2025: The Thoubal District VDF Welfare Association has extended financial support of ₹2.5 lakh to the family of late VDF personnel Kh. Dipak Singh, who passed away on August 21, 2025, at District Hospital, Thoubal, following an illness.
In a press release issued by L. Nabadip Meitei, Publicity Secretary, Thoubal District VDF Welfare Association, it was informed that the assistance was handed over to his wife, Khangembam Ongbi Roni Devi, under the supervision of SP Thoubal Shri Shivanand Surve, IPS, and Shri N. Suraj Singh, MPS, Addl. SP (L&O) Thoubal. The aid was disbursed from the VDF Welfare Fund as part of the Association’s commitment to stand by its members and their families in difficult times.
The Association also appealed to the State Government to provide death benefits to the bereaved family, stressing the importance of welfare measures for VDF personnel who serve under challenging circumstances.
