Kakching, December 26, 2025: Kakching district joined the nationwide observance of Veer Bal Diwas on Thursday with a live webcast of the national programme organised by the Ministry of Women and Child Development at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
The District Administration, in collaboration with the District Child Protection Unit, arranged a live viewing session at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex. The programme was led by the Additional Deputy Commissioner and attended by district-level officers and staff.
In addition to the main venue, live webcasting facilities were extended to various Child Care Institutions across the district to ensure wider participation.
To mark the occasion, the District Child Protection Unit under the Department of Social Welfare organised a series of child-centric activities, including painting, essay writing, poem recitation, debates, and outdoor sports at different institutions.
Veer Bal Diwas is observed to inspire children and young people by highlighting values such as bravery, resilience, and moral integrity.
