The overall law and order situation in Manipur remained normal during the last 24 hours, according to Manipur Police, as security forces intensified search and area domination operations in vulnerable fringe areas across districts.
In a crackdown on extortion and criminal activities, security forces and Manipur Police arrested multiple active cadres of KCP (MFL), KCP (Apunba), and KYKL from Imphal West, Imphal East, and Tengnoupal districts. Arms, including one M20 pistol with a magazine, mobile phones, Aadhaar cards, and a Royal Enfield motorcycle, were seized.
A total of 114 nakas/checkpoints were set up statewide, while 191 vehicles carrying essential goods were escorted safely along NH-37.
Police have appealed to the public not to believe rumours or fake videos and to verify information through the Central Control Room at 9233522822. Authorities also urged citizens to return looted arms and warned of strict legal action against those spreading misinformation.
