Feb. 10, 2025: Villagers of Keinou in Bishnupur have launched a protest against the reported decision to withdraw the VDF (Village Defense Force) personnel stationed at Keinou Thongthak Maning Leikai.
The villagers, who credit the VDF with protecting them from ongoing narco-terrorist aggression, expressed strong concerns over the potential impact of the withdrawal.
W. Homeshwor, a local protestor, voiced his displeasure, calling it unfortunate that the government would consider removing the only five VDF personnel in the area.
He warned that such a move could leave the village vulnerable to further attacks from narco-terrorists.
Homeshwor also made a direct appeal to all concern, urging them not to indulge in looting of arms from the security forces.
He stressed that the villagers would not tolerate any such actions and would stand firm against any threats to their safety.
