Under the aegis of Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission (MSRLM), the Village Prosperity Resilience Plan (VPRP) Mela was organised at the Community Hall of Luwangshangbam Pukhri Achouba Mapal on Wednesday by Thoungambi Women Multipurpose Co-operative Society, formed by women of 9 Gram Panchayats of Heingang constituency.
The Mela was organised with an objective to bring grassroots development and empowerment to villages, highlighting various provisions of government schemes and entitlements. Personnel from various departments also attended to facilitate availing the provisions, informed MSRLM State Mission Manager Binolata Loitongbam.
The Mela also focused on bridging the development gaps in the area, with a view to help achieve sustainable development goals. The Mela has benefited the SHGs and Village Level Federations of the block that participated in the said event, informed Block Development Officer Elangbam Amuthoi.
