The Wakhallon Mannaba Apunba (WAMA) Kangleipak has declared the results of its 34th annual poetry competition held at the Manipur Press Club under the theme “Kaorure Eikhoina Mahousa Lairembibu.”
The first prize was bagged by Ningthoujam Saratchandra of Singjamei Chingamakha, while the second prize went to Moirangthem Netrajit of Sagolband Sadokpam Leikai and the third prize to Moirangthem Achouba Meetei of Uyumpok Makhai Leikai.
Consolation prizes were awarded to Hasan Sana M.M. of Lilong, Rameshwor Thounaojam of Sagolband Lamabam Leikai, Lairikyengbam Bimola of New Checkon, M. Budha of Singjamei Chingamakha Meisnam Leikai, Nongthombam Chandramala of Kontha Khabam, Laishram Modhumangol of Porompat Thawanthaba Leikai, Lourembam Amar of Ethai Laikhong Mayai Leikai, Yengkhom Bijaya of Kakching, Khuman Yaima Meitei of Salungpham, Laishram Mangal of Sagolband, Pramodini Ahongsangbam of Sagolband Khamnam Leikai, and Wangkheirakpam Birendrajit of Nongmeibung.
The prizes will be formally distributed on September 25, 2025, during WAMA’s 5th Foundation Day at the Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board (LSTB), with the first, second, and third prize winners receiving Rs. 3,000, Rs. 2,000, and Rs. 1,000 respectively, and the consolation prize recipients each receiving Rs. 500 along with certificates and mementos.
