May 7, 2025, Thoubal – Security forces conducted extensive search operations and area domination in the fringe and vulnerable zones of both hill and valley districts of Manipur. During the operation in the general area of Wangjing Tekcham under Thoubal Police Station, Thoubal District, a significant haul of arms, ammunition, and communication devices was recovered.
Items seized include one .303 Rifle along with magazine, one 9 mm pistol, one 9 mm pistol without magazine, one No. 36 HE hand grenade, nine .303 live rounds, three tear smoke shells (soft nose LR), one tear smoke shell (CS), one tear smoke shell (LR), one 38 mm anti-riot cartridge with rubber bullet, two Baofeng walkie talkie sets, one Kenwood walkie talkie set, and one Kenwood walkie talkie set charger.
The recovery reflects ongoing efforts by security forces to curb illegal activities and maintain peace in vulnerable areas of the state.
