Week-Long Ops Across 8 Districts: 14 Cadres Held, 53 Weapons, 7 IEDs & Drugs Worth Rs. 10 Lakh Seized in Manipur

In a week-long series of joint operations spanning eight districts of Manipur from August 25 to 31, the Indian Army and Assam Rifles, in close coordination with Manipur Police, apprehended 14 active cadres of insurgent groups and seized a massive haul including 53 weapons, seven IEDs, drugs worth Rs. 10 lakh, and other war-like stores.

The crackdown, covering Jiribam, Churachandpur, Bishnupur, Kakching, Tamenglong, Kangpokpi, Imphal West, and Imphal East, disrupted narcotics supply chains, foiled extortion networks, and neutralized multiple hidden arms caches, dealing a heavy blow to insurgent activities across the state.

Key operations included the seizure of 1,200 WY tablets worth Rs. 10 lakh in Churachandpur.

Security officials said the operations have dealt a major blow to armed groups and illegal syndicates operating in the state.
