A warm royal reunion took place in Agartala as Maharaja Leishemba Sanajaoba of Manipur and Maharaja Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma of Tripura met to reaffirm the enduring historical bond shared between the two kingdoms. The courtesy meeting highlighted centuries of cultural connection, matrimonial links, and traditional affinity that continue to shape people-to-people relations across both states.
Following the meeting, the Tripura Maharaja expressed his feelings through a Facebook post, stating that the interaction “rekindles my appreciation for the ancient, blood-bound ties between Manipur and Tripura.” He further wrote that it “warms my heart to see the people of Tripura continue to cherish their Manipuri heritage and brethren with unwavering affection.”
