Feb. 5, 2025: A woman has filed an FIR against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Dinesh Mohaniya for blowing flying kisses at her amidst the ongoing Delhi Assembly polls, which began this morning.
Dinesh Mohaniya, the sitting MLA from Sangam Vihar, is contesting the seat again as the AAP candidate. He is up against BJP’s Chandan Kumar Choudhary and Congress’ Harsh Choudhary. The woman claimed in her complaint that Mohaniya blew flying kisses at her while campaigning. She further provided a video of the incident to support her claims, according to agency reports.
The case against Dinesh Mohaniya has been registered under various sections (323/341/509) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Samhita (BNS) at Sangam Vihar Police Station, according to an agency report.
Polling for the 70 Assembly seats in Delhi began this morning, with voters heading to the polls for the 8th Assembly under tight security.
