Kakching, September 1: World Hepatitis Day 2025 was observed today at Langmeidong Mayai Leikai Community Hall in Kakching District under the global theme “Let’s break it down.”
The programme was organised by the District Health Society Kakching in collaboration with Lamjao Part 1 Development Association and held under the supervision of the District Administration. The event featured guest speakers including Narajit Luwang, Dr. Thaodem Rajen Singh, Chief Medical Officer Kakching, and Dr. Takhellambam Jullon Singh, Medical Officer in-charge of CHC Kakching.
As part of the day’s activities, an awareness campaign on viral hepatitis was conducted, highlighting prevention and early detection. Screening tests for Hepatitis B and C were also carried out for nearly 80 individuals, reflecting the district’s effort to improve public health and early diagnosis.
