The 2nd KIMACS State-Level Inter-School Manipuri Dance Competition 2025 kicked off today with the much-awaited solo audition round, held at Government Dance College and SSBD Music College, Imphal.
Organised by the Kanglei Indigenous Martial Arts and Cultural Society (KIMACS), the event carried the inspiring theme “Eshana Eshabu Khanglasi Tunggi Meerol Gegeedamak” — meaning “Let’s Know Ourselves for the Future Generations.”
Organisers said the competition was designed to nurture patriotism and cultural pride among students of the Manipuri Jagoi subject.
As many as 36 young competitors will showcase their skills in both solo and group categories as the contest progresses.
