In a tragic and deeply unsettling incident, a young woman from Manipur was found dead near her residence in Maharani Bagh, New Delhi, early this morning.
The deceased, identified as Priya Laxmi Devi, daughter of Khagembam Jadumani Singh from Ngaikhong, Bishnupur District, was reportedly working at Ienergizer (Blackjack) in Noida.
According to initial reports, Priya had not turned up for work on Thursday, raising concerns among her colleagues and friends.
Her body was discovered this morning near the “I Love Kilokari” signboard close to a local temple, just beneath the building where she lived on the third floor.
The cause of death remains unknown at this time, although preliminary suspicions point towards suicide, possibly due to a fall from the building.
Police officials are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding her death, and a post-mortem examination has been scheduled to determine the exact cause. A forensic team had analysed the crime scene and has taken statements from witnesses.
