March 21, 2025: The Zomi Mothers’ Association (ZMA) and Young Vaiphei Association (YVA), in the strongest terms, have condemned the inhuman murder of a 10-year-old minor girl, Mandeihkim, in Churachandpur district of Manipur.
The 10-year-old girl, Mandeihkim, daughter of Niangsenkhup, presently residing at Lingsiphai, Lanva TD Block, was last seen on March 20, 2025, at around 6:30 PM. When she failed to return home by 10 PM on Friday, a search was conducted, and her body was found at around 11:30 PM.
The Zomi Mothers’ Association (ZMA), General Headquarters, stated that the circumstances leading to the tragic and sudden death of the girl “smelt a rat.” The association noted that the site where the minor girl’s body was recovered suggested she was brutally murdered; an injury mark was found on her neck, and bloodstains were visible at the site of her death.
The Zomi Mothers’ Association (ZMA) and Young Vaiphei Association (YVA) appeal to the law enforcement agency to thoroughly investigate the nature of the crime committed against her, determine the cause of her death, and bring the culprit(s) to justice for the deceased’s family.
